Welcome
to our slide show tutorial. Although the application
is pretty easy to use, I have created a step-by-step tutorial,
to make sure that absolutely everybody can create photo slide shows or photo albums
for their website with Amara Slideshow Builder.
How
to create a Slideshow?
1)
First decide on the dimensions that you want to use.
2) If your pictures are not all the same dimensions, open
up your paint program and make sure they are.
I have added a "pictures"
directory where you will find a couple of pictures of 200
x 200 pixels.
3) Set the "Movie Dimensions"
in the application (for the above pictures I used width 200 and height 200)
4) Choose the border and background color.
5) Set the slide duration (measured in 1/10 sec.) (Type>Properties>Slide duration)
6) Click on the Effects tab.
Tick "Use the same for all slides"
and choose the desired effect.
You can also not tick "Use the same for all slides", and assign a unique effect for each slide under the
"Slides" tab.
To change the variable used in each effect, such as duration,
size, fade, etc., select the number in the "value" enter field, and enter the desired number. (See picture 1)

7)
Click on the "sound"
tab if you would like to assign you own background music to
the slide show.
We have added a music directory so you
can easily select your own music files.
8) Finally click on the "Slides"
tab. This is what it's all about. I will list the 3 most
important options:
Add Item: Click on Add Item to add a new slide to your own slideshow.
Link: In the Link input
field you can assign a URL for each picture to link to.
File name: If you want to update a picture already listed,
click on the small box with the 3
little dots. The windows file selector will pop up
so you can select the desired picture.
9) To preview the created Slideshow, click on "Generate
and display" or Preview/Preview
in browser
10) To Save the slide show click on
Save/Save SWF
